Sagging

Sagging

As your skin ages, it begins to lose its ability to stretch and this results in loose sagging and wrinkled skin. Sagging of the skin also appears when there has been a significant weight loss and the result of gravity over time. As we age, we lose volume in our face from the loss of collagen and elastin, leaving us with loose and sagging skin. Loose, sagging skin was once only treated by facelifts or surgery as there were no other options for wrinkled, aged skin.

Treatments for loose, sagging skin have improved so much that these sagging treatments do not require surgery but can be accomplished with non-surgical methods:

HIFU Ultraformer III

HIFU Ultraformer III is a completely non-invasive, lifting, and contouring treatment that is applicable to the face, neck as well as body. It delivers high intensity focused ultrasound energy into the target region of the skin – stimulating and formulating collagen regeneration. The precision in delivery of a high density of power triggers neo-collagenases naturally within the body.

RF Venus Lift
RF (radiofrequency) Venus Lift treatment is the latest treatment for improving skin tone. This non-ablative treatment means that little to no downtime is required for the patient. Using ultra-safe radiofrequency, RF Venus Lift can reduce wrinkles and tighten the skin on the cheeks, jowl lines, and neck area. RF works by stimulating collagen and improving the lymphatic flow of your skin.

Laser Skin Tightening
Laser Skin Tightening with long-pulsed Nd: YAG generally works by stimulating the production of collagen – the magic substance which allows our skin to remain taut and supple. Effects of the sagging skin laser treatments on the collagen layer continue long after the first treatment so you will see gradual tightening over time.

Thread Lift
The absorbable suture of PDO thread lift provides an immediate lifting effect, whereas the polydioxanone (PDO) component of the thread stimulate the regeneration of the collagen. Therefore, the face is instantly lifted right after the treatment and will get even better in the following months as the collagen regenerates.

Dermal Fillers
As we grow older, the skin loses its moisture and elasticity. Dermal Fillers such as Juvederm Voluma and Juvederm Ultra Plus are continuously used by men and women who wants to add volume in a natural and subtle way. Adding volume in the cheeks, temples, under eyes, and laugh lines will taut the sagging skin and provide lifting effects. Dermal Fillers can be a great stand-alone treatment to restore ageing, sagging skin, or they can serve as an adjunct to radiofrequency and other anti-ageing treatments.

Botulinum Toxin
One of the hallmark signs of ageing is the presence of static wrinkles or wrinkles at rest with no facial expressions. All static wrinkles start out as dynamic wrinkles or wrinkles with a facial expression such as squinting or smiling. Over time, these lines become etched into the skin and are visible when the face is at rest. These wrinkles often appear on the forehead, between the brows, around the eyes, around the mouth, and on the neck. Botulinum toxin such as BOTOX and Dysport injections are a great way to prevent the movement of dynamic wrinkles before they become etched into the skin.

After injecting botulinum toxin on these areas, there will be a noticeable and subtle brow and forehead lifting effect that is sufficient and provides a more refreshed look with some people.

Here at My Bliss Clinic, we often recommend the combination of various treatment options as mentioned above to yield a synergistic 3D lifting effect from these treatments.

Message from Dr. Elson

There is no single treatment that is able to treat sagging. Combined treatments of Dermal Fillers, Thread Lift and HIFU Ultraformer III are recommended as their synergistic effects will be more prominent compared to a standalone treatment.
