Gouri – The World’s First Injectable Liquid Polycaprolactone

As we age, our body starts producing less collagen . Collagen production rate of someone in his or her 50s is half of that when he or she was in the 30s.  All of us are aware that replenishing and stimulating new collagen is the key when comes to anti-aging treatments as collagen functions as the framework for supporting our skin.

For this reason, Dexlevo, a company from Korea, has invented the word’s first liquid type PCL (Polycaprolactone) which is known as Gouri, with its patented CESABP (Collagenesis-Enabled Solubilized Active and Biodegradable Polymer) technology.

What is polycaprolactone (PCL)?

PCL is a biocompatible and biodegradable polymer that often used as an implantable biomaterial. By stimulating collagen regeneration, PCL-based products can reverse the signs of aging such as wrinkles, skin laxity and dull skin.

CESABP technology enables regeneration of natural skin collagen without the use of microparticles, which means it can be homogenously solubilised in water, spreading easily over the extensive part of  the skin, generating collagen synthesis on the entire face.

Gouri can be combined with Botox and non-crosslinked skin boosters. However, for cross-linked HA fillers it is recommended to space out one month before or after the treatment.

Message from Dr. Elson

Gouri is a good alternative wrinkle reduction treatment option for those who are not keen for botulinum toxin (Botox)  injections. It stimulates regeneration of collagen and the results are very natural.
