The “mini-me” of BOTOX® means minuscule doses of this anti-wrinkle potion is injected evenly all over your face superficially with a novel injection technique. This time it is injected under the skin, rather than muscles. It gives you a less oily, less visible pores as well as a firmer skin.
How does Micro-Botox work?
Studies show that botulinum Toxin has beneficial effects on the sebaceous glands (oil glands), blood vessels in the face and on skin texture.
It was found and confirmed by many experienced practitioners that BOTOX® do not just affect muscles of facial expressions. Fine muscles in the skin (smooth muscles) which are the same ones which make your hair stand when you experience “goose bumps” are also similarly affected by botulinum Toxin. These smooth muscles are known to control the skin pore size as well as oil and sweat production.
When small doses of BOTOX® (hence the name Micro-BOTOX®) are injected into the skin, these same muscles’ activities are blocked leading to smaller pores and hence a tightening effect leading to a noticeable “face-lift”. Fine wrinkles will be diminished and the skin texture will be more refined. The other effects are the non-oily, matte and powdered look.
