Collagen provides the essential support network for our skin. As we age, collagen breaks down, causing lines and wrinkles. Sun exposure and other environmental hazards such as smoking further damage collagen, and cause pigment problems (dark spots), uneven skin tone and rough or leathery skin texture.

Lasers use a precise wavelength of light energy to target underneath the skin, deeper than any lotions can reach, stimulating collagen production at the source.

TwinLight Rejuvenation -- MBC’s signature ultimate skin rejuvenation laser therapy combines 2 complimentary lasers: Nd:YAG and Er:YAG, in a single, synergistic treatment. This intelligent novel approach able to stimulate the formation of new collagen, at the same time smoothen the lines, wrinkles and lighten blemishes that marred you for years.

What is TwinLight Rejuvenation?

TwinLight Rejuvenation is a 2-step procedure optimised to significantly improve skin smoothness and give it a fresher, healthier look with Fotona SP Dynamis, a US FDA-approved laser machine. Treatments can extend from light touch-ups to deep collagen remodeling, ideal for those who want drastic rejuvenation effects, but are not inclined towards aggressive surgical or chemical alternatives.

First step of the treatment involves Nd:YAG laser, which is able to stimulate collagen regeneration and conditioning the skin for next step of effective fractional Er:YAG laser treatment.

Old, worn-out skin is ablated away by fractional Er: YAG laser. The precise micro-ablated channels will be replaced with new, tighter and healthy tissue as the new skin forms.

Both Nd: YAG and Er: YAG wavelengths have complementary effects on the skin. This minimally invasive treatment is suitable for most skin types and tones.

Who should go for this treatment?

TwinLight Rejuvenation is recommended for those with:

  • Lines & wrinkles
  • Loose & sagging Skin
  • Acne / chickenpox scars
  • Photo-damaged skin
  • Pigmentation
  • Large pores

How many sessions are needed? How often?

Average 4 to 6 sessions, once every 3 to 5 weeks, will be required for a satisfying result.

Is the treatment painful? Is it safe?

The treatment is very comfortable after some numbing cream prior to the procedure and cryogen will be used to cool the skin during the treatment. It is safe for most skin types except very dark skin type.

Is there any downtime after the treatment?

There will be redness for 2 days after the treatment, followed by flaky and mild peeling of the skin for the next 3 to 5 days. Downtime can be shortened by using gentle cleanser, generous amount of moisturiser and applying sunblock with SPF 50 or above during daytime.

How soon can I see some result?

You will be able to see the result even after a single treatment, usually 2 to 3 weeks after the treatment as your own collagen starts to regenerate.

What do I need to avoid before and after the treatment?

You should stop taking oral isotretionoin (e.g. Roaccutane) for 6 months and Vitamin A creams for a month before the treatment. It is very important to avoid the sun 2 weeks before and after the treatment. You should also follow the post treatment protocol carefully, which will be provided after the treatment.
